The story of Benji's mother.

A young boy appeared from a dark doorway. He was sobbing.

Boy: Momma? Momma?

The boy looked around the black room. The wind creeped in through the window ,softly whistling as it entered.

Boy: Momma?

Hugging his teddy he took another step into the darkness. Suddenly the window shut and the silence that filled the room was no more. His eyes traced the noise.

Boy: Momma? Are you there?

The light flicked on and the boys heart lite up with it. She dropped his teddy and toddled over to the woman standing infront of the window.

Boy: Oh momma i was scared. Are you ok?

The woman smiled and gave a sigh of relief. She bent down and lifted the boy ,holding him close to her chest. Walking back towards the door she stopped and looked out the window. The boy looked up into his mothers eyes as she lay him back in his bed. With her back in his life all his fear had went away. He was finally ready for bed.

Woman: Now benji! i want you to go back to sleep as its very late!

Boy:*yawn*

The woman giggled at her sleepy son and poked his little nose.

Woman: Goodnight my little angel!

Boy: G'night momma!

The woman kissed his forhead and slowly turned to exit the room.

Boy: Momma!

Woman: Yes baby!

Boy: Where's Daddy?

She stopped.

Woman: ....

The woman closed her eyes and thought about the last time she seen the boys father. He kissed her and looked into her eyes. She closed her eyes and then as quickly as he came he was gone.

Woman: I don't know!

Boy: oh.. *yawn*

As he rolled over in his bed, the woman walked out of the door, turned off the light and ventured back into the black room towards the window. She fixed her glasses and she looked out at the city below.

Woman: No one does...
